(Ann Arbor, MI - November 10th, 2009) SPARK, a Michigan economic development agency announced that Online Tech has received its FastTrack award for the fourth year in a row. The awards recognize outstanding business success and continued growth. 
Founded in 1994, Online Tech was one of the first Internet Service Providers in Michigan. In 2004,
the company moved into the data center market and has become the largest managed data center operator in Michigan, averaging growth rates of 30% per year
since 2004. The company completed its transition in July when it sold its web hosting business to IGD Solutions.
"This year's FastTrack winners represent technology, engineering and manufacturing success throughout the Ann Arbor region," said SPARK CEO Michael A. Finney. "Despite tough economic conditions, these companies of diverse backgrounds and expertise have demonstrated measurable growth that should be a celebrated achievement."
Started in 1997, FastTrack is an annual program sponsored by SPARK recognizing companies for outstanding business success. Awards are presented to companies with consistent records of growth exceeding 20 percent per year over the last 3 years. SPARK distributed the FastTrack Awards at the “Deals of the Year” ceremony on Friday evening, November 6th.

Online Tech continues to make investments in its business despite the challenging economy. The company invested nearly $250,000 into the SAS 70 audit process to ensure the security, controls, and processes in each of its data centers are closely followed and monitored. Online Tech has also invested in developing a line of new products it plans to roll out over the next 6 months and recently hired 3 new members to its sales and marketing team.
